Gradually incorporate the dry ingredients into the wet mixture using a spatula or a stand mixer with the paddle attachment, mixing until the batter is just moistened and combined.
Divide the batter evenly among the prepared loaf pans, filling each about an inch below the rim to allow room for rising.
Optionally, sprinkle sugar on top for a decorative finish.
Place the pans in the center of the preheated oven and bake for 40 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
